The Beginning

Manchester began operations in 1939. Its founder, Don Espiridion Canavati, had the vision to create a sewing factory, giving life to a cutting-edge men's brand.

Its Founders


Don Espiridión Canavati and his wife Doña Emilia Fraige, its founders, started in a shirt-making workshop with no more than 60 employees.

Growth


Grupo Manchester is growing rapidly thanks to the determination and hard work of its employees, positioning itself as a leader in the textile industry.

1970


In the 1970s, actor Mauricio Garcés was the face of Manchester shirts, making the commercial famous: “Until I wore a Manchester, I felt comfortable!”

1990


In the 1990s, actress Lucía Méndez starred in an advertising campaign for Manchester Shirts that is still remembered by many today.
